Samson is a big handsome adolescent mastiff boy. He has been well-raised and has a huge, warm, loving Mastiff heart. He has also been the playmate of a huge, handsome 19 year old human who unfortunately encouraged him to play so rough that he jumped on and knocked down the volunteer who came to meet him. He did not behave this way with his loving owner, is extremely sweet with small dogs, and by nature calm and sensible until over-excited by the anticipation of play.
This Baby Huey of mastiffs was sent to a terrific behaviorist trainer in GA for some remediation on the most appropriate way to express his boundless love for people and some clear obedience work as well. He is extremely smart, extremely anxious to please and therefore learned quickly. He is, however, young and must be kept strictly on the straight and narrow as he matures into his splendid adult self. Adoption applicants who have past experience raising an adolescent Mastiff will be required!
Bria is a sweetheart of a gal looking for her next adventure. Raised with 4 children in a loving home Bria came into rescue when her owner’s circumstances changed and they could no longer care for her. Bria is a versatile lady who can go from playmate to couch potato in an instant. She adores car rides, walks and meeting new people. We are not sure how she feels about cats but she does like other dogs and kids.
If you are looking for a laid back sweetheart to keep you company in any occasion Bria is your girl!
Handsome Jack was found wandering near Mobile Alabama. When his owners were unable to be located the wonderful Veterinary clinic caring for him surrendered him to rescue. Jack is a wonderful loveable boy; and special in more ways than one. Jack is partially blind.
Jacks limited vision does not limit his potential, dogs are far less concerned with sight than with smell, touch and hearing and much more easily adapted than humans. Jack needs a somewhat quieter home with a family who does not move things (furniture) around a lot. After a few days in a new environment he will learn his way around.
Jack is good with other dogs but needs an introductory period. Because of his limited vision he tends to put his leg over them and bump into them.
Jack is still very young and learning to navigate the world in general. While he is good on a leash and has excellent manners, he does startle more easily than most dogs his age. As he grows and bonds with a person who can help him gain experience, he will become more used to normal stimuli.
If you want a gorgeous, loving dog and a good excuse to avoid redecorating please consider adopting Jack.
