Peaches is a sweet girl who is learning how to adjust to the recent changes in her life quickly. Peaches was surrendered by her family, after they decided that they could no longer care for her.
Peaches is a very large 165+ lb. fawn girl, and could stand to lose more weight (couldn't we all!?!). Peaches has been in rescue for a short while (less than a week) and has done remarkably well with all the changes that she had to go through. Peaches is very sweet and loving, but has to warm up to you and accept you on her terms and in her time. This normally only takes a short while. :)
Peaches will bark at the sound of someone at the door, and will stop as soon as she recognizes you or your voice. Peaches is the definition of a loyal companion. She has already become very close with her foster sister (another mastiff) and follows her lead in the yard and around the house.
Peaches suffered damage to her right eye after an episode involving a cat. Luckily, her eye has healed well, though is discolored (cloudy). Peaches learned that cats are quick, and fences will stop you very quickly).
Peaches is spayed, HW negative, up-to-date on vaccines, and very healthy; she will make a dream companion for the family that will allow her to just be her. This family will need to be patient, loving, kind, and gentle with her. She is a shy girl by nature and wants nothing more than to be loved and accepted. She would do best with another dog. Do you have room in your heart and home for Peaches?
