I wanted to write and give a long overdue update on Einstein. He entered rescue in July of this year (2015), and was 7 weeks old and 13 lbs, and blind.
Surrendered to rescue because of birth defects (fluid on the brain), his outlook was grim. Pups with this condition normally don't make it past 16 weeks. I am thrilled to say that Einstein is now 6 months old, and weights almost 70 lbs!!!!!
He lives with his mom, dad, two human brothers, and two fur-sisters. He is SO loved and spoiled rotten. He is a happy fella and loves everyone that he meets. Kathy, his mom, had some additional consults done for his condition, and it seems that it is somehow not nearly as bad
as it should or could have been. He has regained his vision, the dome has flattened on his head, and he is thriving.
I have attached his photos: some are when he first came to us, and others are him now. We could all use some happy tails once in a while :)
